SEMS is retained through multiple parish and university educational systems to manage environmental safety and compliance regarding asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, mold and all other indoor air quality services.
Air Quality Inspection & Improvement Services Included:
Provide update and maintenance of the AHERA 3-Year Asbestos Management Plan required by state regulation
Document keeping, updates and oversight for the safety priority ratings, maintenance and/or removal of all asbestos-containing materials
Asbestos 6-Month Surveillances
Provided semi-annual assessment and reporting of the condition of known and assumed asbestos-containing materials across all facilities
Parish-wide water mitigation and mold remediation projects
Provide as needed services, usually emergency, where water mitigation and/or remediation of mold is a necessary response to a hazard which is the result of weather extremities, HVAC equipment deficiencies, etc.
Parish-wide lead-based paint abatement projects at various schools throughout the parish
